It's crazy how I'm leaving in just two months. Almost daily, I get asked aren't you scared? & the answer is no, I'm excited, and maybe just a little bit nervous.
I honestly couldn't have a better host family. I email my host mom, Anna, usually a couple of times a week, and she is sooooo nice. She's really easy to talk to and I'm always looking forward to her emails. Klara who would be my sister, is going to be here in the U.S. on the East Coast I believe, so I won't get to have a sister which is kind of sad. Ulf, who will be my dad likes to cook, which I'm excited about. Magnus, my older brother just moved out, but he'll still live pretty close. And Jonas, who is 11, just won a chess tournament with his class at school. Jonas also fences which I think is probably one of the cutest things because the only time I've ever seen fencing was in the Parent Trap. :) I don't know what school I'll go to yet but I should find out pretty soon.
So, as you can tell, I'm very impatiently waiting to go. I still don't know the exact date but it should be in the middle of August. I now have a whole dresser drawer full of stuff that I'll probably have to ship. I've been constantly shopping for my host family gifts which is a lot of fun. I would say what I've gotten them so far but in case they read this, it would spoil the fun. :) I have a list taped to my door with a billion things I have to do before I go which includes but is not limited to: hanging out with people, getting a power converter, stocking up on reeses, taking tons of pictures, learning more than hej and hejdå in swedish, making an adress book, and can't forget packing.
:) I'll add more later!
